I graduated Parris Island on Dec 11, 1992. Nothing about that place could be called " FUN ". But it is exilerating, challenging,....like nothing you have ever done before or will ever do again.....AND it will never leave you ! You will carry it with you for LIFE!

These responses are hilarious... because my son actually enjoyed parts of USMC boot camp. He's told us hysterical stories about things that happened.... But he hated it there, too... because he'd never worked so hard in his life, under such stress...
The thing is, no one, ever, will be able to take away from him the knowledge that he is one of the few and proud that have graduated USMC boot camp. That's worth a lot more to him than any loss of fun he might have suffered...

The rifle range is fun, especially when you're in the prone position and the drill instructor is standing over you with his foot on your ....s, telling you that you'd better not miss.

Best time in Boot Camp is Graduation Day, trust me on this....you don't goof around on the rifle range.

well all the other's say no fun... I beleive if ur going to be a marine, ur naturally bad as s... simply put... Ur job is a love hate thing... it sucks being kicked in the as s every day n but you love doing it because it's just how u are... BT in marine world is a very very tough thing... every day prepare to be screamed at n pushed to the limit... but since ur doing it ur a marine... n u know what ur in for b4 bootcamp so you must love challenging things ... so...
Conclusion:
Whole things going to suck b alls.. but you'll enjoy it because if your in it.. ur bad as s.. n want to do it... so yeh..

there's down time but not much of it. Majority of the time in boot camp is work. they only have so much time to get you preprared for a big world.
