Yes... you can give Benedryl. It's dosed according to weight. Try to give approximately 1mg per pound of dog. So a 25 lb. dog would get 25mg (a whole tablet) every 8-12 hours. Any dog over 50 lbs. will get 50mg (the max I recommend) every 8-12 hours. If its working give it for 3 days in a row, then stop. If its not working after a dose or two, then something else might be necessary. You can use the liquid, but dogs don't care for the taste, and you usually have to give too much to get the dose necessary unless the dog is really small.

Yes, you can give Benadryll to dogs. But only in the doses a vet tells you to give. You may consider having an allergy test done so you know for sure it's your cat. My dog started losing hair and it turns out she had an allergy to fleas. One flea bite made her lose a good bit of hair on her back. My vet gave her a benadryll shot and all her hair has grown back.

Yes, dogs can safely be given benadryl, but you need to find out the real cause for his allergies first. It is unlikely that he is allergic to your cat, but if he is, benadryl will not help. If your dog is in fact allergic to your cat, Benadryl wont do you much good, unless you can start to keep the two animals in completely different parts of your home. Just think of it as if it were you. If you're allergic to cats, but you really wanted to get one, do you think your doctor would say "Go ahead, just drug yourself with high doses of meds every day!" No, because if you're taking a medicine to protect yourself from something that you are constantly exposing yourself to, it's not going to be effective. You need to ask your vet to figure out what your dog is allergic to before giving him anything.

Yes, you can give a dog benadryl. I give a 25 mg tablet to my 12 pound dog every day on the advise of my vet.

Absolutley not. In some medicines like that they can contain things that are toxic to a dog. Check with your vet for some medication for your dog.

No! You need to speak to your vet and take your dog in to be seen.
You dont know what is wrong with your dog. Your guessing! YOU could guess your dog right into the dog hospital.

definitely.....ask your vet for the formula (based on your dog's weight). A large dog takes more than a human.
