I like this girl, im not sure how much yet but i know its a fair amount cause i get butterflys when i see her, and one day last week she jokingly told me that she liked me i fell for it hardcore and then i found it it was a joke and i looked like an idiot, soo then last night i wrote her a text message saying that i was just pretending to like her when i actually do but that way its not awkward, but then one of her friends today told me that she says she loves me but i dunno what to think anymore? so help

what was your reaction when she told you that she liked you? might that reaction have led to her saying it was a joke? if she really liked you, told you so and you didn't say that you liked her back then she'd be embarrased and say she didn't like you to get out of it.
why don't you be straight with her - say 'whoever told me that you love me, i like you and if you want to go out some where that would be nice, if you don't then that's ok but don't say that you do if you don't'
(that might be a bit wordy but you get the idea!)
