It would be better to wait 24 hours, but if you cannot, then use a shampoo for color treated hair.

I color my hair all the time. Have for years. I always rinse the dye out very well. Then I follow up with a good quality shampoo and a conditioner. I usually buy the hair colors that have the after conditioner right in the package. You won't need much shampoo as the color gets rid of alot of dirt also. If you heat style your hair you might also want to use a leave in conditioner. These come in many forms but I like the spray on kind as it is easy to use and works good.

As a professional I can't really speak for a home color kit. But if you read the directions on the box it should tell you the exact method you should use.

When we do color in the salon we rinse and shampoo the hair after it has processed.

I recommend if you can't afford to color your hair in a salon and do use a home kit at least get a professional shampoo and condioner.

This will help prolong the length of your color.

Why kind of dye did you use? Temporary, semi permanent or permanent? Purchase a good "color safe/protecting" shampoo for any dyed hair to prolong it's color. If yours is temporary use your shampoo sparingly after treating but it's OK to shampoo (and a good idea to remove color from your scalp) as you would normally. Color safe shampoo's have a reduced alkali base.

No rinse out as much of the dye and shapoo and condition always you can do this every time you dye your hair.

yes, you can shampoo. Just don't use a clarifying shampoo cuz it will fade your colour. but any other shampoo is just fine. And don't forget to condition
