Not all girls are made the same, but if it was me, I would give you a big kiss on the cheek and keep you around for a really long time.
However, your girl may be really sexual, and so, you may need to explain to her a bit more. Girls like to have indepth explanations. Guys tend be satisfied with simple yes or no answers (with exceptions of course) but girls want some details.
You'll have to give her some really good reasons why you don't want to.
Of course, you really didn't state your reasons in the original post, but if it is less of a "I'm doing it for you" thing, and more of a "I just really don't want to right now" thing, then consider this, your girlfriend may be ready for that kind of commitment, and you may not. It would be wrong to make either of you change your views for the other. If she becomes unhappy with the arrangement, it may be time to consider finding a different partner who takes the same view.
Most importantly, whether you are doing it for her or doing it for other reasons, let them be known to your girlfriend. She will never be able to understand, be comfortable with, or try to compromise unless you talk to her. Communication is everything.
Once you've done this, let things play out for themselves, for good or ill, but, most importantly, don't let either of you change the other. Respect for each other's position should be foremost in your minds.

I'm not positive what it means but my daughter's husband told her pretty much the same thing and now, after being married 10 years and only penetration four times, she is getting a divorce. I think he is gay and I love him to pieces anywhere. He's the best sil you could ever want but he has made my daughter very unhappy. He was in his late 30's when they married and she was his second girl friend so there were warning signs. He lives in a very small town so I don't think he would ever come out of the closet but it must be very lonely in there.

well depends has she had sex b4 u..if not then shes really cool w/ it shows that u respect her...if she did its hard to tell depends on how she worded it...but i think u r a nice guy for tellin that to her
