I was looking into getting one because I saw one at a dow show and it was so cute and this dog was very sweet and laid-back. Does anyone know anything about this breed or maybe own one?
I've looked at websites talking about the breed but I think those types of things are so bland. I wanna know what actual owners think of them??

Would they be good pets to have around children? Are they good with cats and other dogs? Do they need a lot of grooming?

Very smart, fun, active dogs. Laid back isn't the norm for them, but their are always variations between individuals of the breed.
I've had several in classes and met more that belong to friends and associates. Their energy level reminds me of the field type labs and Goldens. Very active, ordinarily.

I own one currently, and have had two more in the past. It's hard to compare breeds because you can have so many different extremes, but they have been some of the best dogs I've ever dealt with. If you have any more specific questions about the breed, you can email me.
