I have birds and I am very worried. I clean the cages out on every weekend, and I change the water/food daily and they get baths every day, along with alot of cage outtings. I wanted to do the cage cleaning on sunday, and I did it today, and I saw this small, light black bug, around mabey one or two mm.'s witch has this horm comeing out from it's nose and at the end, it split into two and went right to left... I am not sure, is this bug harmful to the birds? I made sure that I killed the bug.

Good for you. You are such a meticulous owner. Insects of all kinds make their presence from time to time. Mites are generally smaller and waste no time in infecting birds. Keep up the great work and have a tweet year.

If i were you i would completely hose out, clean, scrub and possibly boil some parts of the cage in hot water. Deep clean everything and get new birdseed-- that is most likely the cause. Make sure to examine your bird for bugs in their feather and etc...!

Sounds like a weevil, it probably came in with the birdseed. There are a bunch of different species with different food preferences. Harmless to the bird and you. They like to sap-out flower buds on my hollyhocks (little boogers).

As much as I HATE wikipedia they usually have decent pictures ...

sounds like your place is infested with drywood termites. each and each 365 days they launch some swarms of winged termites. those pass finding for meals and water and so puppy enclosures frequently %. up some. they're stable meals for the dragon yet no longer intense-high quality for the framing. talk along with your landlord.
