For a while I fell for my oldest friend, Matt, I've been friends with him for 9 years about and he's always been there for me.
lately he's been more affectionate and helpful, I was sick for four days and he came over to catch me up in one of our classes we have together, he's a senior I'm a junior.
So, everytime I see him, he goes to give me a hug or I hug him, he steals my hot chocolate or challenges me to a game, sport or some other random challenge.
We're also very open with eachother, so one day a few weeks ago I asked him if he liked anyone, he said no. I took a chance last week and asked him to prom, I wouldn't have if his sister didn't say that "you stole his heart" to me, b/c of the way he was acting with me. And usually he's quiet with other girls including his sister whose my best friend...
But all he said was "I can't say yes to that just yet"

Well, Im not as close with her as I am with Matt.
I asked him about Prom thursday last thursday, and two weeks ago today I asked him if he liked anyone.
Also, I had family problems (fighting with parents) so I went to his house, I didn't tell him but he knew from the way I acted but he went to give me a hug (which I adore his hugs) but went for a handshake cause I would have cried, but he looked so hurt

Nope. He snoozes, he loses. It's like trimming a plant back severely - you have to be cruel to be kind.

yes definitely wait for him. if u dont know his sister well, maybe shes wasnt exactly right about "stealing his heart", or maybe it is. hes a really good friend, and i think he may think of you that way due to his reaction. Or maybe he does really like you, and is nervous. Regardless, hell probably go to the prom with you, even if he only thinks of u as a friend since ull have a good time together. He probably likes u too.

Well wait for him, you big goof, he may be having thoughts of his own about how he feels. Don''t rush anything.. enjoy his company and let him decide, he did say he couldn't say YES just yet, not NO!!!!!!!!!!

give him a little longer but don't pressure him into a decision.
