Yes,if need arises.Gandhi had said "Even God dare not stand in front of a hungry man EXCEPT in the form og Food".No human being cal tolerate his family members suffering from starvation and stealing of food will be the LAST resort and is justified on moral grounds to ensure that fellow human beings donot die on account of starvation !!!

This question is a Damned if you do and Damned if you don't.
As far as hypothetically, Their are so many food banks throughout the United States that for a person to Steal Food is unethical Unless, The food bank has refused you, or your a diabetic without $$, or you've tried everything else. Stealing is not Right but there are thousands of people Jailed for it each year just the same.

Yes I would especially if I had small children or my parents lived with me. There is nothing I would not do to protect and provide for my family. My parents are both deceased and the siblings I have left are selfish and sometimes unkind but I surely would steal to feed any one of them. However, that would also go for just about anyone I know, I don't think I would let anyone starve. It is not in me to do that. My Mother raised me better than that.

As a last option if there was no other way to feed my family, yes I would steal food to feed my family. Especially if there were children or grandchildren involved.

In the United States of America no one is forced to steal food to feed their family so, NO. In this country we have government programs that provide people with the means to buy food or you can find assistance through many churches or shelters.

yes I absolutely would if there was no other way for me to feed them, but I have been smart enough to know that times might get as bad as they got good and so I prepared myself in many ways for that and still have more room to go. If it came down to it though and my family was hungry yes I would if there were no other way, you better never doubt that. I would try all options that I had first and then yeah.

Yes, I would feed my family even if it meant stealing. I am a decent person, not a criminal so my answer only applies to decent, non criminal people. No way would I let my family starve just to be a law abiding citizen.

Yeah, I would. Fortionatly I live in America, have a job and don't need to steal to eat. But under the right circumstances pretty much anyone *would*. I can guarantee ANYONE would if it was that or starving.

Wow..that is a good one.

I would hope that I would have an alternate route to go...public assistance, family, friends, church, homeless shelter, begging anything but stealing....but if it was a matter of life or death, and it was my ONLY OPTION I wouldn't allow my child to suffer. Whatever it would take...(with a heavy sigh).

probably going to get loads of thumbs down for this but yes I would do pretty much anything to put food on the table.........and I brought my children up in the UK where we have a much more shall I say generous system of welfare [one that I paid into for MANY years]

Very glad to say that I have never had to but I think if I was being honest it came extremely close on occasions.......

Just as a point tho, it would really annoy me that a lot of people I knew would do so BUT they where also the ones going out every weekend drinking and partying.
