Try removing the seeds. you'll want to wear gloves of course, when opening the jalepenos to cut out the seeds. But by removing the seeds that cuts down on the capsasin(SP?) in the jalepenos, which make them so spicy. You may also want to drink milk prior to eating a jalepeno...the calcium will reduce how spicy it feels in your stomache.

Milk is the best thing to get rid of the spice after you eat a hot pepper.

Mix them in something like salsa or cheese dip,
There is no 'reducing' a plain one , just eating some bread after, to soak up some of the hot juice.

the most of the heat is on the membrane that hols the seeds to the pepper, so take the seeds out and as much of the membrane as you can.
they also say that dairy products are good to take the heat down a bit so eat your nachos or tacos with extra sour cream

Dairy products, especially ones like sour cream, can help with the burn. Eat them after you try your jalapeno, but only try a small amount.

the spiciness is in the seeds and veins, especially. You will notice thin veins in the jalapeno, remove them and then they should be okay.
