I know that successful open relationships do exist, but everyone involved needs to know it's an open relationship. In other words, not only does it need to be ok with you and this guy, it also needs to be ok with his boyfriend.
Also remember that when things start getting non-exclusive your STD risks go through the roof, trojan or not

Of course it's cheating. You may love this boy but he needs to determine what he wants out of a relationship. You really can't have the best of both worlds and it work out for everyone. That just doesn't happen. Someone is going to get hurt or jealous over it. He may want a girlfriend for SHOW but not a relationship with the girl. I would remain friends and see what happens but move on and see what happens as well. You just may be missing another opportunity with someone else. Good Luck to all of you.

Before you assume anything, you might want to sit down and have a conversation with your friend's boyfriend. To think that you will only have a relationship with the one you like would be crazy, if you start dating this guy, you will also in a sense start dating his boyfriend. You will have to share him, are you prepared for that? Also, if he is sexually active, and you are as well, you might want to make sure that all three of you are tested before you make the decision to be sexually active with this guy as well. Just be sure that you can live with this guy's boyfriend or it will never work. Good luck with this!

yea it is cheating. but the problem is he is stuck in the middle of it... 2 people like him. i mean think about how hard it is on him. he probably feels like crap because he doesnt want to hurt nobodys feelings. anyway dont hold it aginst him if he turns u down.

technically yes. and as much as I hate to say it I wouldn't put him in a position that he'll have to chose between you and his boyfriend. Someone will get hurt in the end.

Yes, it is cheating on his part if he has a partner(of either sex) and starts up with you.

Yes, and I wouldn't put myself through the heartbreak, he already has made it known about his sexual preferences, you won't change him.
