Anyone have the numbers/e-mails of any breeders in the Essex and surrounding areas?
Thank you.

If you use the Kennel Club's Puppy Sales Register search facility you can search for breeders with puppies of your chosen breed by area of the UK.

As well as the kennel club you can try the following website
www.breedersonline.co.uk
of course you need to ensure that the breeder is genuine but they do have puppies that the kennel club don't alway know about. I found my Akita puppy there and once I checked that the breeder was known to the KC and all the correct health checks had been carried out I was more than happy.

There is also another site
http://www.pedigreesearch.co.uk/...
breeders seem to use this site also. It's also worth doing a search for breeders websites in your area as they may just advertise the odd puppy or you can register for an upcoming litter.

Along with consulting the Puppy Register on the Kennel Club website:
http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/436

You could also try the Champdogs site - it lists breeders of KC registered Chihuahuas (free contact details) & shows which area they are in (divided up into smooth coat & long coat varieties) There are also links to clubs here - so you may be able to find a reputable breeder in your area by contacting a local club:

smooth coat:
http://www.champdogs.co.uk/guided/all_smooth-coat-chihuahua.html
Though I only spotted one smooth coat Chihuahua breeder in Essex (there are some in the surrounding counties):
http://www.northunpride.co.uk/
(lol ... wait until you hear the background music!)

long coat:
http://www.champdogs.co.uk/guided/all_long-coat-chihuahua.html

You could also try searching for breeders on the ePupz site - you'll have to register get the contact details - but it should be free for info on breeders - you just have to pay a one-off fee of £4.99 if you want to access contact details on ads for puppies less than five days old (the ad not the puppies):
http://www.epupz.co.uk/search/puppies_for_sale.asp?breed=Chihuahua&area=Essex&st=5&Submit=Search+++

Hope the links help

Contact the breed clubs which are listed at the bottom of the page here:

That way, you can be more certain of finding a reputable breeder with healthy KC registered puppies
