We have known each other for about 3 years now. We started out by just knowing who each other was not really friends. Then we started to hang out more at school. He told someone that he liked me over the summer so I asked him out because i liked him too. He never really answered so I figured he didnt want to be anything more than friends. When school started we hung out even more than before and even now we are good friends. He flirts with me somethimes and I flirt back. It seems like he wants to be more than friends but when decided to ask him out again recently he never wrote back. I dont want to be pushy but I also want to know why he isnt answering me. Should I have a friend talk to him or something???

Usually you can tell if your guy friend is into you when he starts talking about different things.
Like, when me and my guy friend first met, he'd talk about hot girls and his friends and how I should start dating one of them.
But in the time before he asked me out, he would talk to me about deeper stuff, like his problems at home and problems with friends. He also stopped liking it when i was around him and his (guy) friends, he just liked being alone with me.

He probly likes you I am usually a shy but around a girl i like i can talk to her but i feel more comfortable around her

when he is not around his friends he will probably flirt with you and if you still can not tell ask your friend to ask him when you are not around and you will find out

don't. trust me on that. nothing good will come of it. the phrase 'friendship can turn to love' isn't true. you'll have them as a friend forever, a boyfriend, well, can't really say, now can you?
