well this i heard from a kennel owner. He used heavy duty netting or fencing on the ground, they cant dig through tha. For your part and want fun water hose, loll

Creat a sandbox puppy digging yard with soft soil thats pleasing to your dog, show him that area to dig in and praise everytime he goes there. He will think hey im gettn loved for diggn here and keep it up, ( burry toys lighty in it for him to find, like a game) Just daily fixing will make it better than a lawn destroyer. This here is the one way to show how far you will go to make them happy

Chances are that you won't!! I had a mix of lab/pit and that sweet rather large dog dug up the whole yard at different stages of his long life. We never did stop him from digging and our vet said that labs like digging and playing, it is just in their nature. I know that doesn't make you feel any better than it did us. However, we did try a mixture of red and black pepper and it did deter him somewhat around where we and the neighbors had rose bushes growing. He loved the rose bushes too and ate them at an alarming rate. I replaced more than I care to admit. He also ate an entire porch swing in one day. All that was left was the hardware that went with it. My retired neighbors said he had a ball doing it. I did not find it amusing. He was something else!!! His name was "B.A." for obvious reasons. Good luck and be glad he is only digging.

what do you call a kennel? a kennel is a penned section, frequently outdoors with preserve. it is not a crate. in case you have a kennel on your backyard, can it rather is moved to all or any of the spots the dogs enjoys? have you ever tried to allow the dogs to dig in a single section? the form of dogs desires to dig greater suitable than many different breeds and you will do nicely to inspire it to dig in a single section purely or to kennel it in a community that's sufficiently massive and available to a digging spot. the dogs particularly would not ought to wreck your backyard; this is conceivable to coach it to understand suitable and unacceptable digging aspects, purely because it rather is conceivable to coach it to apply one section purely to do away with waste. protecting it locked up a super kind of the time in a kennel is purely a mirrored image of your frustration. this is honest to be annoyed, yet you are the grasp right here, in case you do not recognize a thank you to coach the dogs, get some good books, take some obedience classes, etc. do what it takes to the thank you to communicate on your chum in a manner he will understand; he rather purely desires to delight you,you recognize. please provide up leaving him kennelled different than whilst easily necessary (given which you won't have the ability to supervise him) it is going to take some attempt and slightly time, yet interior of a month you will desire a super and happy dogs.

We tried everything with our lab. And unless you were out there with her at the exact time she was digging -- and told her stop, it was an uphill battle. Luckily she grew out of it around 5 years old.

get a scratching post, yes a scratching post, get his paws and make them scratch down the post, eventually it will get the idea and do this instead of digging holes
