1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 package (6 ounces) Stuffing Mix for Chicken
1 1/2 cups warm water
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Place beef, stuffing mix, and 1 1/4 cups of the warm water into a large mixing bowl; mix with hands until well blended.
3. Form meat mixture into six patties; place in baking dish.
4. Bake for 20 minutes.
5. Add the remaining 1/4 cup of water and the barbecue sauce to a saucepan; cook on medium-high heat until bubbly.
7. When patties are done, place some of the barbecue sauce on each one; bake for another 5 minutes.
Makes 6 servings.
*Note: This recipe also works well with beef gravy instead of the barbecue sauce (however I prefer the taste of the barbecue sauce).

Basically you're eating all the stuff that is no good for you and leaving out the nourishment! To each their own!
However, Salisbury steak is just ground beef cooked in a patty form to mimic a steak and then topped with brown gravy. You can use cube steak also and just a beef stock that is seasoned and thickened with either a roue (equal butter/flour mixture), corn starch, or arrowroot.

it is nothing but steak and gravy.....so fry you some thin steak.
to make the gravy, keep some of your grease in your frying pan and even keep the kirspies. add all purpose flour to the hot grease/oil, it should be kinda thick but not real pasty to begin with....but it will get pasty as it cooks.....keep stirring flour mixture....*** salt and pepper....keep stirring until the flour has reached a Carmel brown or a little darker. Now get you a glass of water.....and watch the steam.....pour some into the pan and stir....the mixture will probably swell like a biscuit...this means to add more water......you want to add enough water that your gravy is kinda creamy.....once you get your consistency right...then add your steak back to the pan and allow to simmer and the gravy will get thick.
