My high school prom is coming up in about a month, and I want to curl my hair for it. I'm only going to have an afternoon to get ready for everything, including doing my hair. Any tips on what type of curlers to use to get big, bouncy curls? I have medium-length hair.

I'd like my hair to look something like Marilyn Monroe's.

You will need about 25 curlers - for a nice bouncy style you are looking for curlers that are called "magnetic" curlers. They are available at Sally Beauty Supply and other beauty supply stores. Also get yourself some setting lotion. Set your hair early on in the day and leave the curlers in until everything else is done. Remove the curlers and run your fingers thru your hair. Try this routine a couple of times before the big day.
Good luck and enjoy.

If you want big bouncy curls you of course know you need large sized rollers.

Because I can't actually see your hair. Heres the general rule. The hair must be able to go around the roller at least 2 1/2 times for a good curl.

If you're running tight on time, take the easy way. Call a salon tell them that you just want your hair curled. This should only cost about $30 - $40. While they are doing that see if they have someone to do your nails too.

You'll be beautiful and have fun.

I'm gonna do the same thing for semi
use a big one
but use hair spray to make it hold
and so your hair doesn't dry out...
use an olive oil type spray or cream
you can get them st your local beauty
supply store or I've seen them at target too.
have a great time!
Good luck
