Natural selection will take care of this. It just needs some time...

I don't know why, lol but I know people do drive very differently in different areas. I had a friend from San Jose once, and she would drive very slow and stay at least 10 car lengths behind the person in front of her and people around here were constantly cutting infront of her since around here they drive very close to each other and apperantly don't like to see open space.
I went to San Jose once and it's true! Lol, I mean they stay very far away from each other. Even at the stop lights and signs, they would leave at least 2 full car lengths in front of them, so really only 3 people could fit into a turn lane. It was very strange to see. I usually stop so I can see the cars tires in front of me, but most people around here stop right on your bumper, and that drives me nuts!
In LA everyone is up everyones butt while driving, actually pretty much anywhere in southern CA, but I guess northern CA is the complete opposite, they stay miles away from each other, yet they have just as many people in those big cities. So I definetly think it is something people just learn in different areas.
Again, didn't answer your question, in fact I was wondering what cincinnatians were at first lol. Never heard that before.

This is a nationwide problem. I think the car makers have made it an option on cars, lol. Seriously, people become lazy on road safety issues. I have even saw law enforcement not using they're signals. My rule of thumb is, I don't worry about others, but do what I know is the correct way to behave on the road. Learn to abserve other's while driving and you will know when a person is going to do something ahead of time.

I wish their were more I could do about this but they wont hire me as the driver instructor???

For the same reason that Austinites, Chicagoans, New Yorkers, Californians et all don't use them or put on the right blinker and turn left. They just don't give a hoot or they're to busy yakking on their cell phone or (like the one I saw in San Jose) putting on their eye shadow. They drive me to distraction too. Wish I had a Sherman tank with a nice 70MM cannon to wake them up with. lol

It's not just in Cincinnati, it's everywhere. A lot of drivers are thinking only of themselves and not the other cars around them.

this isn't restricted to Cincinnati, people all over the world have just become incredibly lazy and thoughtless to use their signals

I dunno. But the same problem is here in New York. People don't signal. So annoying and dangerous too!
