For a while I fell for my oldest friend, Matt, I've been friends with him for 9 years about and he's always been there for me.
lately he's been more affectionate and helpful, I was sick for four days and he came over to catch me up in one of our classes we have together, he's a senior I'm a junior.

So, everytime I see him, he goes to give me a hug or I hug him, he steals my hot chocolate or challenges me to a game, sport or some other random challenge.
We're also very open with eachother, so one day a few weeks ago I asked him if he liked anyone, he said no. I took a chance last week and asked him to prom, I wouldn't have if his sister didn't say that "you stole his heart" to me, b/c of the way he was acting with me. And usually he's quiet with other girls including his sister whose my best friend...
But all he said was "I can't say yes to that just yet"

Wait a little bit you might actually have a chance with this guy he seems sweet and it sounds like you guys have a lot of chemistry I think you two would be great for each other but I suggest waiting a little don't give up on this wonderful guy or opportunity it is a chance just wait.

From what you've given as info I say you should wait a little bit.
You didn't come this far just to give up on him, and he didn't say "no". It seem like you guys have a really close relashionship and he seems to be more open with u than any other girl. And it's ok if he jst said "I can't say yes to that just just yet", it does sound like a weird answer but you took a big chance with asking him to prom so I think all you have to is be patient and wait, to see if he'll say yes(which he most likely will).

Good Luck and I hope everything works out for the best!!

P.S: How many weeks ago did you ask him?
I'm just wondering!!!

Back off for a bit, and see if he comes to you. Just play it cool and just sit back and watch. He will come to you, its almost guarenteed that he will. If you act like you are not interested and moving on to something else, watch how fast he shows up and tells you he'll go to the prom. Once a guy sees that a gal will not give the attention he wants, he'll be over to you in a flash. you know, "Whats wrong" "Why are you avoiding me" "what did I do to you" all that stuff. You make it clear to him, that you thought he wasnt interested. Its all in the game darlin and how you play it. Thats the same old story but you can win this one, if you want him as a boyfriend bad enough. Good luck.
