There are two options: Hide it completely, or distract from it.
OPTION 1: HIDE THE WINDOW
Pry the molding off of around the window frame. Then place a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf over it, or move one from somewhere in your house. You can also build a bookshelf over it, or place a cloth over it.
OPTION 2: DISTRACT FROM IT
This is a much easier and better option, I must say! In this way, you must by some curtains (if you don't have them already) and put them over the window. Make sure that they are shut at all times. Then place a low table underneath the window (it's okay if it's not all the way beneath it, it's better if it comes in front of it). Then put a large vase of flowers, a sculpture...etc. in the middle of the table.
Hope that helps! =)

Does the window come to the floor? You can cover the window with lattice and place plants, trees(ficus) and such in front of it for a garden look, do a roll up from the bottom shade leaving the top open for light, floor to ceiling drapes, frame it out and put glass shelves inside the frame or use /make a tall folding screen or fill it in with plywood and wall paper or paint a piece of contemporary art after covering the wood with canvas or material.

1. Wallpaper over it.
2. take off the frame and nail a piece of plywood over the opening and then paint or paper it.
3. The simplest way is to hang a strong curtain rod above it and hang a drape or tapestry down to the floor from the rod.

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/KABej
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.

Is the wall small enough to hang curtains on it, like the walls at the movies? how about a big tapestry on the wall?
