Im going to New York in a couple of days [12-15] with my choir, and this is the first time going to New York, and i have never been up north. [I live in Florida] They said it's going to be like 49/53 degrees [the highs] and I dont know what to bring or wear there. Is that cold enough for a "puffy" jacket and a sweater with jeans? Its going to be in the 80s here in Florida when I leave. I know its probley a stupid question. Im just stressing..... =\

If you're used to warm weather... it'll probably feel cold enough for your puffy jacket and sweater. Wear your heaviest clothes on the plane so you won't have to pack them. We always tell people to pack light.... if you forget something, you'll be able to get it there. You'll probably want to take stuff that's half way between.

Bring your warmest clothes. You are going to be in for a shock, coming from Fla. Highs of 50 mean lows of 25, so evenings will be 35 or so, and mornings very cold. Dress in layers, so that as it gets warmer, you can peel one off at a time.
