This is in North Carolina. I have a misdemeanor which is personal injury to property and I was wanting to know if this will hold me back from becoming a State Trooper.

It says on my criminal record check injury to personal property. Prayer for Judgement. So what type of misdemeanor would this be?

The definition of class b misdemeanor is only local to your state. Since we do not know what state you are in, we have no idea what it means.

My guess tho? It will involve thefts, assaults, or driving charges such as careless driving, etc. You can't become a cop if you have these types of things on your record.

A class B misdemeanor is a minor misdemeanor. In NY State there are felonies, misdemeanors and violations.

Felonies and misdemeanors are crimes. Felonies go from class A to E while there are two class of misdemeanors A and B.

An example of a class B misdemeanor would be fortune telling.

In your case I believe if you were convicted of a misdemeanor you would not be eligible. However check with the court the judge could have found you guilty of a violation rather than a misdemeanor.

You probably would have served time or had a suspended sentence. Every state has different Class B's look it on Internet for your state. They vary from pushing in a fight to selling pot. It is not a traffic offense unless it is a habitual drunk driving or a drunk driving accident with injuries.
You can call the clerk of court & a request your record.

Call the state highway patrol from a payphone and ask if what you arrested for is a class B misdemeanor. They would know.
