I speak English, Esperanto, Spanish, and German, Esperanto was far easier to learn than any of the others, and it opened the world to me. I've had conversations with people from every continent, and every country, and I only had to learn the easiest language on earth to do so.

You might ask, why is Esperanto easier to learn than any of the other languages? It's because it is a language designed to be easier to learn than any national language. Most of the time spent studying a foreign language is spent learning the irregularities and rule exceptions ("I before E except after C", " 'sheep' is both singular and plural", etc). Esperanto has only 16 gramatical rules, and no exceptions to any of the rules.

Many people also ask, "Does anyone speak Esperanto? How can I practice it?" Well Esperanto is spoken by an estimated two million people world wide, and it's now growing because of the internet. It's the most widely spoken constructed auxiliary language, with the largest body of literature, music and even a few movies.

And yes, you can travel with Esperanto. To find out how, read this article in Wikipedia about the Esperanto "Pasporta Servo" (Passport Service):

spanish is probably the easiest language if you speak english. However, if you're looking for another language, I would say that Latin is also easy for english speakers. Although that's not so much spoken language anymore outside of churches, it will help you immensely with english (and spanish as well).

For native English speakers, the easiest language (that I can think of) to learn is German. Anything Germanic, really, since that's the group that English is in, but specifically German. They're extremely similar.

Malay, Indonesian and Tagalog are some of the easiest languages to learn. Malay grammar is very simple, and Malay vocabulary contains only about 5000 words and a few hundred only are used in daily communication.

I think all Austronesian languages are easy because they only have limited vocabulary and very simple grammar: no inflections, no cases, no conjugation, no irregularities, no tenses...

Example:

saya buat = I do, I'm doing, I will do, I did, I've done...
kamu buat = you do, you did...
dia buat = he/she/it do
kita buat = we do
mereka buat = they do

Learn Chinese. A Chinese script is a drawing to show a thing or an idea. You need only to learn how to call it. Say, a table, the script will look like a table and you call it 'zhuo'

I dunno, maybe pig latin?
I guess I think of english as a germanic language and there are a lot of similarities, so I think it would be easier for english people to learn german than say a romance language, even though german is not an easy language to learn.

I thought Russian was pretty easy to learn when I was studying it. Once you figure out the other alphabet, it's all phonetic. Unlike English.

IN MY OPINION, I THINK SPANISH, ITALIAN, FRENCH, AND
GERMAN ARE THE EASIEST LANGUAGES TO LEARN.
SPANISH AND ITALIAN KIND OF GO TOGETHER BECAUSE SOME OF THE WORDS SOUND THE SAME OR MEAN THE SAME. FRENCH IS EASY TO LEARN BUT A LITTLE HARD TO UNDERSTAND. GERMAN IS A LITTLE BIT HARDER TO UNDERSTAND BECAUSE THE WAY THE WORDS ARE WRITTEN.
