If your skin is very dark, it is likely that your tattoos are ashing out when using black...in other words, they are getting gray-looking, correct?

You should ask your artist to go over it with a brown/black combination. The brown will boost the color into something richer and will end up appearing more black. When I tattoo relatively dark skin, I start with a brown base and top it off with black.

You could get them redone.

Or the best advice Ive got from a tattooist is that you should leave it wrapped in cling wrap for 4 days. Heres how:

Twice a day (in the morning & at night) shower and gently wash your tatt with antibacterial soap (dont rub it). You dont need to do it for long otherwise the ink will run out. Then pat it dry. Apply the antibacterial tattoo cream (like Bepanthem) generously over the whole tatt. Then apply enough cling wrap to cover the tatt and hold in place with surgical tape. Do this for 4 days.

I promise it works coz thats what I did for my last tatt & its the darkest!!
