It could be a keloid scar. These happens when the body's skin goes into a sort of healing-overdrive. That is, after the scar is healed, it keeps on producing scar tissue. They are very painful and sometimes itchy, however, they can be treated by a doctor by steroid injections or cryotherapy. Keloids can also be removed surgically; however, since it is a scar itself, there is always risk that it would grow back.

Ok, well there are two possibilities. First if something was left in the area causing aggitation. This was ruled out with the second operation and removal of the scar tissue. The second is the scar itself is causing the pain. Sometimes scars can remain painful or itchy forever. A keloid scar is the most common one to do this. If this is the case her doc can inject a steroid (same type they use to do joints) into the scar which can decrease scar tissue and may releive the pain. Hope this helps.

Your Mum has just gone through surgery. The removal of the stitches does not mean that she is better and the pain goes away. Have you ever had a paper cut, they are tiny, require no stitches and hurt like hell for weeks. At least you Mum has had the scar removed and she is now into the healing process, which will take time and she may be in pain for quite some time yet, but if it is bad get the doctor to give her pills to control the pain. You are very caring, she is lucky to have you.

.You cannot remove a scar as surgery itself causes scaring and the tissues beneath the skin could be tightening and pulling as they heal back together hence the pain. The pain could be caused by nerve damage/irritation or even the healing process and could take several months to calm down,in the mean time she should seek medical advice to check that there is no infection

Get your Mum to a DR,
Scar tissue is usually less sensitive and sometimes prone to aching in cold/damp.
I have no idea what has happened in your Mum's case. Get her to her G.P. and have this monitored , you need professional care whenever it is a matter of health
Best of Luck, they can fix most things these days, so don't worry
How nice of you to look out for your Mum

It is probably infected or the stitches were put in too tight. She can go to the doctor and have them loosened. She can also just take some pain relievers and put cream on the scar

1. You don't need to grow your hair to attract guys. Some guys like it short! 2. Pimples and blackheads are a problem... I'm 22 and still working on it. Maybe try washing your face twice daily with some cleanser from Walmart & drink plenty of water. 3. Flirting... be CONFIDENT! Smile and be friendly to others, not just him.
