I have very thick curly hair and one of these two methods always works for me:

I suggest using a ceramic plate heat straightener after washing your hair and applying a conditioning product. Work in layers from the root of the hair to the crown, and never keep the straightener on the same area for too long (it is best to whisk over it multiple times). It is best to use a straightener with multiple heat settings so you can adjust it to suit your hair.

You can also use a square brush and blow dryer to achieve the same effect, if your hair is not substantially curly. This is also somewhat less time consuming than the previous method. After your hair is washed and coated in a straightening product, pull sections of hair in layers, keeping the tension on the brush constant and in close contact with the blow dryer. The heat should set the straightness of your hair.

I hope that these help. :-) I've used them both over the past couple of years and both work great for my frizzy hair!

Buy a really good hair straightener...number one. I have found that ceramic ones work best....nothing with steam. blowdry your hair as straight as you can and then clip up the top half and straighten the bottom. When that's done tie it back with a ponytail. Bring down another layer of hair. When that is done tie it back with the already done hair and so on until all your hair is done.
I have reeeeeaaallly curly hair, and it goes down to the bottom of my ribcage...it takes me all together, with blowdrying close to an hour. Not too bad I don't think.
Good luck!!

I have that kind of hair too. I usr a straightening mousse from Herbal Essence. Then when I dry my hair, i use a hairbrush to straighten it out, and then straighten it in layers....Only takes about 15-20 minutes to straighten

Good luck!

Get a chi straightener!!! OK so the Chi is very nice because it smooths hair out AND straightens it in a short amount of time. Also, you should use a smoothing shampoo, conditioner, and spray. I hope I helped! Good luck!

Get one that you can straighten it while your hair is wet so you save the time of blow drying, then straightening. MAke sure to protect it with a straightening balm or smoothing creme. The one I have is Wet2Straight ceramic and it works good.

i had the same type of hair. and this worked for me. i got it chemically straightened and now my hair is still straight (i got it 5 months ago) its not damaged the way it would have been if i straightened it everyday for 5 months. its really healthy and nice. do not use a straightener too much, your hair will look FRIED!!!

this is what i suggest to cut the time in half ::

On wet hair, use Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum, this will protect your hair and dry it faster.

Blow dry your hair straight, either with a round brush or use a regular brush, combing the section of hair while blow drying it downwards.

*this will make your hair somewhat straight so it doesnt take as much time to straighten*

Then straighten! hope i helped =]]]]]]]]]

when you blowdry, blow dry it semi wet and pressing the dryer to a barrell brush. this acts like a straightener and works really well. and there are also creams you could use, and smoothing milk from garnier fructise, it makes your hair smooth and silky, and a bit straighter sometimes

and it also cuts down the volume a bit
