I agree with many people above. Toronto is the most multicultural city in the world. For example, Toronto has the largest amount of Italians, outside of Italy. A lot of the immigrants have little sections where a lot of them live, which has formed partly due to restrictions in the past (like China Town) or just naturally over time.

Sorry, for some reason this was in the Toronto section, so I read the question wrong. Okay, all of Canada.

In Vancouver you tend to get a lot of immigrants from Asia. In the prairies you tend to have a pretty European bunch. In Ontario, the cities have large amounts of diversity. In Quebec I think you get a lot of immigrants in Montreal, and there's a lot of Quebecois obviously, but in the north there are large number of native people. In Atlantic Canada I thinks it's mostly European, I think... and in the Territories you have a large number of Natives and some Europeans.

However, keep in mind that small towns tend to not be as diverse as cities in general.

When I say Europeans I mean people who originally came from Europe, not new arrivals.

So yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the way it is, but it's not exact or anything

Toronto is the largest multicultural community in the world. Most immigrants settle in the larger cities. The base in the 1960's was Anglo/Saxon, but it is quite mixed, now. It depends on where you are. By land mass, it is now the largest country in the world.

mostly anglo-saxon with large scotish and irish admixture. French in Quebec. More celtic blood in the maritimes....more german and northern euro blood in the west. heavily ukrainian in parts of the great plains. native americans on reserves and in prairie urban areas.

of course the bigger citys are home to more recent immigrants, most of them from the asian continent. lesser numbers from africa, the caribbean and south america.
