Your local blood donor clinic will give you a questionnaire to determine if you are eligible to be a blood donor. A diagnosis of genital herpes does not exclude you from donating blood. So, yes, you can give blood if you have genital herpes (Herpes Simplex 2) as long as you are not in the breakout phase. If you are, the lesions must be dry and scabbed.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 5 years ago, when I was still in college and had a dumb one-night stand. I know a lot of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date other men again. In the end, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores round her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/0eXJG everything improved.
Not only was I able to remove all remnants of the herpes virus from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system provided the opportunity to be happy and experience real love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.

Yes you can. Herpes is spread by skin to skin contact, not blood. If you are in the middle of an outbreak, you should not donate. That is not because it may risk the person who receives the blood, but because it is not healthy for the donor. This would be the case if you had the flu, a cold, or any other illness that your body was trying to fight at that time.
If everyone with herpes was elimiated from donating blood, there would be no blood left. 25% of the population has genital herpes, and 80% has oral. Type 1 and type 2 are almost identical. You can have either in either location, and they both cause similar syptoms.
For those who are saying they would not want blood from someone with herpes, would you take blood from someone who was blond? Would you take it from someone of another race? Are you concerned you will turn into another religion if you use their blood? Someone with herpes is no different. Just remember that 8 out of 10 of your family and friends already have it, and there is a very good chance you are one of them.
