Exactly Evolution. Who knows how many behaviors do not propagate in a species before it is adopted. I have a feeling this is not one that would get adopted. But remember, evolution doesn't happen in thousands of years. It is something that takes hundreds of thousands of years to notice.
The fact that this cow exhibits a deviant cow-like behavior is a good example of evolution. Evolution will only be supported when that behavior is or is not passed on.

How do you think cows get "mad cow disease," they feed them cow brains, and then you drink their milk and meat.
and this should answer ur question:
"We think lack of vital minerals in the body is causing this behavior. We have taken a look and have asked doctors to look into the case immediately," Mihir Satpathy, a district veterinary officer, said by phone.
try reading more carefully next time.

In England they fed sheep to the cows and the result was mad cow disease which was passed on to humans. Maybe this cow is a crazy bovine psychopath.

Holy cow! Just joking. That is strange. I don't think it has to do with evolution. I think sometimes you just get one strange on in the bunch in nature that doesn't follow the norm.
