Five beach bungaloes line a section of the cape......no two are alike this is reflected in the names of the houses-Beach View, Mon Repos, Captain, the nook, and Tall Trees. Each bungaloe was baught at different prices..$12,500, $15,000, $16,000, 18,500, or $21,000...determine how they are alighned and its cost by these clues.
1.Captains Cottage is right between Beach View and the bungalow that cost $12,500
2.Bungalow 2 cost $2500 more than mon repos which isnt the fourth in line
3.the last bungalow n order know as the nook, cost less than its immediate neightbor.
4. the bungalow that cost $21,000 is lower down the line than Tall Trees

I find a GRID helps in solving these, like the ones at puzzles.com
Yoour 3 sets of variables are- names, positions, and prices.
Put a circle where you find a match, and a cross where you know conditions DONT match.

For instance, #5 = the nook (clue 3) so put a circle at intersection of 5 and "nook"

From same clue, we know this property is NOT the most expensive. So put a cross at: #5 & $21,000 AND at "nook" & $21,000

no logic involved here. it's a simple comparison question. logic is not what is used to solve such types of questions.
logic is a progressive from a to b to c to d to the conclusion which has no other possibilies when used properly. it is not a guessing game!
