Some would say there is, but I would say there is no difference at all. Unless the eggs are organic free range then there is a difference.

Absolutely no difference except for color.
The general idea is that the color of the ear lobe is what color the egg will be. There are a few exceptions in some of the more unusual breeds.
Most people think they are getting a better egg if it's brown.
I raise chickens & have had white, brown & blue/green egg layers.
I have some buyers who don't care what color the eggs are. Some won't eat the blue/green ones if I gave them out free.
Some only want brown eggs, claims the darker the egg the better they are for you.
Which is total bunk!
But I charge more per dozen for those eggs, if someone wants to be that picky about it they'll pay.
So I guess the brown eggs are better....for me! ; )

The color of the egg’s shell is a reflection of the breed of hen. Breeds with white feathers and ear lobes, such as White Leghorns, lay white eggs. Those with red feathers or ear lobes lay brown eggs. White eggs are in high demand among most American buyers, but in certain parts of the country, particularly New England, brown shells are preferred. Breeds that lay brown eggs include the Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire, and Plymouth Rock varieties.

The eggs are pretty much the same, just different colours. White eggs come from white chickens and brown eggs come from brown chickens. I never thought it would be that simple, but it is.

I have a friend who raises chickens. Different breed of chickens will lay different colors of eggs- I have even seen some that were greenish in color. Sometimes one chicken will lay different colored egg - this may have somethign to do with its diet. There is no difference in the egg itself.
As far as differences go, organic free range chickens will lay eggs whose yolks are thicker , darker in color and often harder to break than the eggs you get in the store- these eggs are better for you as they are not depleted of nutrients like the eggs you find in the store

My husband is a poultry famer and I cannot believe these ridiculous answers!!! The answer is simple: White chickens lay white eggs and Brown chickens lay brown eggs. They have the exact same levels of nutrition, fat, protein etc.
Also, white chickens birth white chicks and brown chickens birth brown chicks.

The difference is that White eggs are sprayed with chemical to make them white because origanally all eggs are brown , brown eggs are organic there is no difference except that they were not sprayed with the chemical to make them white.

There isn't any difference in the taste. The only difference is of course the color and the type of chicken. But they taste exactly the same.
