I want to know why many of you would send someone a threatening e mail or speak hateful to someone who does not believe in God? I mean honestly--this is only making the truth of Jesus Christ look bad--and we who are saved KNOW this is NOT the way to share the truth--because we are suppose to "love" our enemies, no matter how hard it is--take their persecutions and just let them roll off your back- remember when the truth is shared, many will get mad, and that just means hearts are being convicted, God is working in many--but if you come across hateful or self righteous, it is only going to push them away even more. I am just really sad that I see so many asking questions about christians who send hate e mails. If any of you out there do this, please just sit back and think about it.....ask the Lord to give you a love for others and a gentle speech when talking to others- I know it is hard at times, but we can do it! "Greater is HE that is in you than he that is in the world" 1 John 4:4

You are absolutely right, I see what you are saying, all the time, I too have trouble in keeping my head cool at times but generaly I try to be respectful in my answers even though sometimes I do and will fail of course, but we are supposed to immitate God in his love so we should bne displaying the same kind of love too just like Jesus didfor God is Love(1John4:8)so by not showoing love we would be showing that we do not know God. It is hard truly hard after all the Christians are copping a lot of hate here and it is hard t=not to retaliate it truly is but we have the help that is from God which strengthens us and we can also ask God for more strength to follow Jesus example, Jesus went through some tough times too but he was always kind to everyone, even Judas who betrayed him and Jesus also knew what was in the heart of Judas and that he would betray him yes you are right, it is certainly hard I know, and we are imperfect but with God on our side we can do it! On our own strength no we can't do it, but if we depend on God we can do anything that I'm sure of! The whole aspect of being a Christian is not easy because we are imperfect but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to do the right things as Christians.Although we are imperfect we can try to do the best we can that means trying to live according to what the Bible says and Jesus example we should try to follow, even though we make mistakes we can make God proud by doing our best to obey his word. The scripture you have cited (1John4:4) shows the importance of how we behave for by our behaviour we show wether or not we originate with God!

Email is a very non personal medium. I think some people would never say the things they say here in public or in this group if they knew the people here better. I too sometimes feel like saying things to people here that I shouldn't, but I usually don't. There may be some who are trying to make Christians look bad. Some are just kids too.

My other theory is that some of these people leave their computers on when they are away and their cat or dog plays on the keyboard and these messages are randomly typed. It could happen.

I would never do such a thing. One thing to be careful of in this Yahoo environment is that there are a lot of liars and even for the last several weeks there has been this one guy calling himself a retard and just totally harassing this R&S answers, even though I have to admit he makes me laugh some times.

This is not a chat room but the same goes for this answer R&S, in that a lot of people are not always who they portray. Gosh, who will give me a thumbs down now. I wish I got points for down thumbs. Then , I would be on level TEN.

I've never heard of any Christians doing this. I'm with you. That is not showing anyone Christ. Suck it up and give it to the Lord. Love your enemies.

Chirst had a message of peace and so many other good things but sometimes there are people who take their beliefs too far or misunderstand the true meaning of Christ and his beliefs. Same idea about religous terrorists their religions usually don't condone killing masses of people or themselves to send religous messages they just take it too far for their own satisfaction or sociopathic beliefs.

I agree with your essay here. Let's remember that even the saved are still sinners in this world and have done mean things. Recognize that rejection or scoffing directed at a Christian can be ultimately directed at Jesus, whose name we bear. That we should take proudly.

It is because they worship God with their lips, but their hearts are far away from Him. If they actually followed the bible, they would reflect Him whom they worship. Actions speak louder than words. If they are doing these things, it is because they don't know Yah. As messiah said:

Matthew 5:21-22 - Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire

1 John 2:9 - He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

John 8:39 - They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

If they were God's children, wouldn't they do the works of Yah? That's what the scriptures say.

John 8:44 - Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

As you see, they don't even believe in the things the Scriptures teach, but they hate you for not believing them either. Whose children do you suppose they are, who do such things, according to their own scriptures? Would you say they are doing godly works or devilish ones?

I agree. There is no reason to get "nasty" - that is lacking in the Spirit of Christ. We "reason," "explain," even "argue," but we don't get "personal" in a threatening or hate filled way. If you can't control your own spirit, then don't get into the "fray."
