I think its safe to say that the most popular is hangar. But if your asking about aircraft that have been taken out of flight and airworthy status, the the answer would be the " bone yard" located in the middle of no-where AZ.

Not sure what you are looking for, but a hanger comes to mind. Thats like a large garage for planes when they can be stored or repaired. There is also a large airfield in Arizona where older aircraft are stored outside. Some people call it a bone yard while others may have their own pet names for it.

It's a hangar, with an "a" not hanger with an "e". Nothing to do with hanging, it comes from an old French word for a type of shed. (Someone with their own airplane would know that!)
