Think yourself lucky. They never send me threatening e-mails. I can't work out why.

Those Christians that are sending you threating e-mails may think that they are serving God in their own little way, but as far as I'm concerned they're doingt the rest of us a great disservice. And no, I'm confident that Jesus frowns at such activities.

Shemus: That is so funny!

Mahal: Are you implying that someone would actually *deserve* to receive hate mail? Who decides what constitutes deserving or not? Can I decide if you deserve hate mail? What about Jane/Joe Bloe atheist, can s/he decide that you deserve hate mail? Would that be right? You spoke against liberals in one thread, and I'm a liberal on most issues. Does that give me the right to flame you? Many MANY times I've read your posts and have been most offended and angered. Does that give me the right to hurl e-turds your way???

No, it doesn't. If I'm offended, then it is I who has to get a grip. So that's what people need to do, get a grip. NO ONE deserves hate mail. Check yourself. There is NO EXCUSE for bad behavior. Christians are supposed to be examples, but if one sends hate mail, then what kind of example is that person setting? And what kind of example are you setting, if you say that people can in fact *deserve* hate mail?

Okay, to answer the original question, neither you nor I can answer for all Christians, because that's simply impossible. One Christian does not Christianity make. If you got ONE hate mail, it's from ONE bad apple, and if you got TWO hate mails, then blame those TWO bad apples, etc etc. Blame those responsible and not all of Christendom.

Proportionately, the English are 763 times worse than the Christians.

Of course there may just be more atheists than not-Scots available to be attacked.

What?!??! If someone is following Jesus completely, they'll only do what God tells them to do. I don't think that sending threatening emails is one of those things.

Maybe they think so. But I don't. I have never sent threatening email.

I think you are looking for attention...so tell me why not ask mom to buy you a little dog with a long tail?
