Well, it depends on the facility. I work in a women's prison and we used to have a very therapeutically driven superintendent who allowed one of the women to use the chapel for her ceremony. Unfortunately we have a new regime....However, in your case you will probably have to get in touch with the superintendant for permission. You will more than likely need to outline what you would like to bring into the facility in order to get a release for this. Don't count on being allowed to bring a lot of decorations and stuff. I know in our facility it's fairly limited, for instance, no glass, no stiletto heels, no matches or lighters, etc. Also you may not be able to have other family members and stuff there. Good luck though, hopefully you can work something out.

Are you that desperate!! Maybe take this time apart to see what kind of values this jerk has. Will he be a good provider or will be always resport to illegal things? Would he make a good role model as a father? Is this the kind of guy you want to introduce to your employer or family or your future kids' teachers? Don't confuse feeling sorry for someone as being in love. And , you never know, he might come out of there a) on heavy drugs, b) with a new bunch of crooked friends and a lot of new schemes, c) a girlfriend called "Big Tony", or d) a really bad attitude. or e) all of the above!

Sad that I know this, but each Jail, county, state and facility is different. You will need to ask that particular jail how they handle such issues...some do now allow it.

I believe they do weddings in jail but without fanfare. They call in a Justice of the Peace. Why don't you wait till he gets out of jail before you get married. Let him get out of jail, get adjusted to being out in society, let him find a job and then think about marriage. This is not really a good idea for you. You may be getting in over your head. Think before you leap. Marry in haste and repent in leisure. I wish you well.

You are getting married to a guy in jail that will be there for a while? You do need help and it isnt the kind youre thinking of. Why not tell him you will marry him when he gets out, cleans himself up, gets off probation and gets a good job.

Not to be a naysayer but are you sure you want to do this? I have stood by someone who is in jail and it is not easy at all
If you do decide to go through with it then check with the individual jail for the rules and regs

You're right, you need HELP. Why in the hell would you
marry someone who can't keep themselves out of jail?
If you marry this loser, you are in for a lifetime of trouble.
Then you will be miserable and end up like all those
horrible people on the "Jerry Springer" show. Come
on, get a clue before it's too late!

Is he rich or something? Why? Why? Why?
Don't you want your day to be perfect? Don't you have a certain kind of wedding in mind with guests and flowers and a cake, and all the bridal showers and stuff?
I think you shoul rethink this....at least wait till he gets out of jail...
Good luck sweetie.

Why not wait until he is out of jail. Do you really want to marry him as a convict?
