Have any of you pro-choice people ever went and looked at any of those sites that show what happens to a baby is aborted. even at 5 weeks that baby looks like a human being. and the cruel part is these babies who can feel every thing. i even read about a procedure where they pull all of the baby out of the mothers body exept the head and poke a hole in the back of the baby's head then they suck the brains out of the baby. or where they suck the Baby out of the womb in peices with a vacum. this is the cruelest form of Murder. How can any one think that abortion is ok, that a woman should have the right to brutaly Murder thier unborn baby.

Ps. 139:13-16: “You [Jehovah] kept me screened off in the belly of my mother. . . . Your eyes saw even the embryo of me, and in your book all its parts were down in writing.”

Ex. 21:22, 23: “In case men should struggle with each other and they really hurt a pregnant woman and her children do come out but no fatal accident occurs, he is to have damages imposed upon him without fail according to what the owner of the woman may lay upon him; and he must give it through the justices. But if a fatal accident should occur, then you must give soul for soul.” (Some translations make it appear that in this law to Israel the crucial matter was what happened to the mother, not to the fetus. The original Hebrew text, however, refers to a fatal accident to either mother or child.)

Gen. 9:6: “Anyone shedding man’s blood, by man will his own blood be shed, for in God’s image he made man.”

1 John 3:15: “No manslayer has everlasting life remaining in him.”

Ex. 20:13: “You must not murder.”

What an Unborn Baby Feels

How does it feel to an unborn baby to be nestled securely in the warmth of its mother’s womb and then suddenly be assaulted with deadly force? We can only imagine, for the story will never be told firsthand.

Most abortions are performed in the first 12 weeks of life. By this stage the tiny fetus practices breathing and swallowing, and its heart is beating. It can curl its tiny toes, make a fist, turn flips in its watery world—and feel pain.

Many fetuses are wrenched from the womb and sucked into a jar by a vacuum tube with a sharp edge. The procedure is called vacuum aspiration. The powerful suction (29 times the power of a home vacuum cleaner) tears the tiny body apart. Other babies are aborted by dilation and curettage, a loop-shaped knife scraping the lining of the womb, slicing the infant to pieces.

Fetuses older than 16 weeks may die by the saline abortion, or salt poisoning, method. A long needle pierces the bag of waters, withdraws some of the amniotic fluid, and replaces it with a concentrated salt solution. As the baby swallows and breathes, filling its delicate lungs with the toxic solution, it struggles and convulses. The caustic effect of the poison burns away the top layer of skin, leaving it raw and shriveled. Its brain may begin to hemorrhage. A painful death may come in hours, though occasionally when labor begins a day or so later, a live but dying baby is delivered.

If the baby is too developed to be killed by these or similar methods, one option remains—hysterotomy, a cesarean section with a twist, ending life instead of saving it. The mother’s abdomen is opened surgically, and almost always a live baby is pulled out. It may even cry. But it must be left to die. Some are deliberately killed by smothering, drowning, and in other ways.

46 chromosomes. We all have them, we got them when we were conceived.

I don't approve of abortion. I know there's times when it's medically necessary, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Unfortunately, some women become pregnant through no choice of their own (abuse, rape, etc). In those cases, I feel abortion should be tolerated.

At 2 months, an embryo has lungs developed enough to practice breathing at 2 months, and a heart even before that.

The sex organs develop in the 7th and 8th weeks. Imagine, I was a girl (all the parts were there) about the time my mom found out she was pregnant!

I still wonder how many women who've had an abortion are still satisfied that it was the right thing 3 (or 5 or more) years later. I asked a pro-choicer once. She tiptoed around the question, never really answered it.

I agree with you. I think you should have all the facts before making a decision and part of that should be seeing what the "fetus" looks like. I think anyone who seeks and abortion should have to be explained to in detail what goes on and sbe shown a picture of what a baby looks at that developmental phase, and what's going on with the baby that week. If this happened there would be alot less abortions. I wonder why they put women to sleep for 2nd trimester abortions. My co-worker had an abortion at 22 weeks for no medical reason, and after being injected with a solution the night before that burns the baby in the womb, was put to sleep the next day and then was delivered. If it's not a baby, why would they be scared to let the woman see it?

I sense an underlying anguish in your question and by looking back over your prior questions I know why. I genuinally feel your pain and lost, I understand your abhorence towards abortion. For a lot couples trying to have families there seem to be one hearth breaking event after another and yet others can seemingly go to the clinic and abort there problem for what ever reasons. where the fairness in that?
isn't that what you are really saying?
For your own sake stop what your saying there is no point in adding more misery to the world to yourself and to others. do you not think a lot of these women making these decisions are not hurting already. Not everything is black and white. Yes we do live in a cruel world especially where some women don't have any other choice.
Leave go of your anger become strong again seek out help and advise from the medical profession and try again.
have a good and happy life you deserve it.

I think most people didnt realize that late abortions occured and would like to believe the fetus feels no pain

but I know in, the case of my son, he had memories that carried over from when he was in the womb since he was frightened by an alarm and had an unusual fear of loud noises for the first couple years of life

it's ironic... i puppy is required to get a sedative for an operation... a baby gets torn apoart with nothing to ease the pain... in a place that should be the safest in the world... not the most dangerous

I'm going to sound hypocrytical -- I am very pro-life knowing that no matter how far a long you are -- the baby inside of you is living and to have an abortion means to be taking that life preventing it from living a full life -- however I had an abortion a week ago -- the baby was eight weeks along and I regret it -- I regretted it before I got there and I will also hate myself and consider myself as a murderer and I will probably go to hell -- I have no reason for my action except that I couldn't take care of a child alone which I would be and I wouldn't give up a child that is mine for adoption -- I was given no choice by several other influences as well -- I know I am cowardess and I will never make this mistake again. I don't think I should have had this as an option -- I don't think abortion should be legal unless it is for medical reasons the mother couldn't have the child without risking her or the childs life.

If your argument is simply that fetuses look like fully-developed people, then it should also be murder to "kill" a corpse, a permanently brain-dead person, or, for that matter, an extremely striking and well-made facsimile of a human being, like a wax dummy.

Surely what should matter to us isn't superficial resemblance to a developed person, but rather whether the fetus actually can feel pain, think, etc. The scientific evidence indicates that this is 100% impossible in the first trimester, though there is some disagreement regarding exactly when a fetus can feel pain. Most scientists believe that this first becomes possible around week 26, when thalamocortical connections that are necessary for perceiving pain are first developed.

I personally find abortion very distasteful as well (though inevitably even more suffering and death would ensue if we illegalized it, since desperate mothers would just pursue other means), but that doesn't mean that I agree with distorting the truth to try to further a certain agenda; you have the right to your own opinion, but not to your own facts. And the fact is, that it's simply a biological impossibility for an embryo to think or feel anything during the period when abortion is legal, that the abortion methods you describe are largely fabricated propaganda, and that absurd stories like the "Mommy, mommy" one below are based on pure fancy, and are no more possible than it is possible for a human sperm or pinky finger to think such thoughts.

If we're going to discuss an issue like this, it is crucial that we not distort and mangle the evidence to try to prove our point, whether we're for or against illegalizing abortion. So, I sympathize with your feelings, but that doesn't make your claims any less false.

I do not think that abortion is ok. I do think the procedure you describe, called partial birth abortion, is deplorable and that late term abortions should be illegal.

However, I believe that if you value life, then you should value that life even after it is born. I would much rather see an unwanted pregnancy terminated, than to see a small child suffer abuse, many times to it's death. I work in an emergency room and I have seen far too many children savagely beaten, burned and killed. I see thousands protesting abortion, but where are those people when these children, who are already here, are being tortured by their parents?

Pardon you!

My mother is pro-choice, and I am very proud of the fact I was a choice. Not because I wasn't aborted but because I was wanted. I wasn't brought into this world out of obligation and later on abused, neglected, or put into a foster home because my mother resented me. No, I was brought into this world by choice by a mother who actually wanted me and loved me more than life itself.

When you're talking about the fetus feeling pain, do you even know what you're talking about? A fetus can't feel until later down the road. Before and after we're born, we don't even have memory of what's going on. Can you tell me whether or not you remember being born?

It's funny you bring up this word "pain". Has "pain" stopped most parents from circumcising their child? No, because they do it for religious reasons and/or so the penis looks more aesthetically pleasing. Have you heard a baby scream after his penis has been mutilated? But, I guess that's okay since he wont remember the pain later on!

It's all about the woman being a labeled a murder isn't it? I don't see pro-lifers going after the biker boyfriend who raped her. Nah, you'd just rather scare sh*tless the pregnant teenager.

If you're that against abortion, start adopting and funding for better birth control. But wait, I forgot, it's always more fun to hate on those that choose.

I don't think it is a pleasant thing to go through and no woman should make the decision lightly and I'm sure most do not. You are wrong about the fetus having feelings in the first trimester though. They have done test on fetuses in the 1st trimester and they have no brain activity.

I would worry more about the Army of God and how many innocent people they kill every year in their war on abortion.
