I'm approaching forty and she still makes me feel like i'm six years old. And she always ends phone conversations first- takes control . Are they all control freaks or is it just mine?

I’m the youngest. My oldest sister is everywhere! Constantly putting her nose into MY business. Constantly trying to control my life. From the moment I’ve been born I never wanted to be like her. I always wanted people to like me for who I am. And not because I’m the little sister of ... My oldest sister on the other hand seems to have a life’s mission called “How to become exactly like my youngest sister”. I swear if I would jump out of an airplane naked she would do the same thing! The bad thing is I don’t know why she does it. She gets on my nerve. By the way it's common for big sisters to control everything. Look up sibling rivalry on google. You'll find lots of info there

I have 2 big sisters. One makes me feel like I have a brain the other makes me feel like I don't.
Actually don't think it is intentional just a personality thing. We are very different and there is always friction between me and my younger, older sister. Where as big sis is just chilled unless little big sis gets excited about something.
Then it gets really interesting 'cause big brother and little sis then get involved, by the time we've finished no one knows what all the fuss was about. So we just sit down and have a cup of tea.

I'm almost 15 and BOTH of my older sisters can seem that way. Especially because I am the youngest, sometimes they have a hard time letting me do something on my own for a change without being monitored or helped. So I know how you feel about being treated as if you were 6 years old.
But hey, be blessed that you have a sister. A lot of people would kill to have one! Have a talk with your sister and tell her how you feel. She may try harder to change her ways if you kindly approach her and tell her about it. It's worth a try!

i am from a family of 9 kids but just 2 girls . Even though my sis is 5 yrs older i was first to have kids so is only now we get on ok as i now have 4 kids and she has 3.BUT if she has a problem i consider her feelings but not vice versa oops does that just make her more honest than me

Yep!!!!!!!!! But no matter where or wen dey always av de advantage!!!!!Think about it from your sis's view : Not just older though younger 1's are PAIN'S and maybe de way ur sis thinks about u is de same way u think about her!!! Have it out wiv her wat av u got 2 lose??? Den tell her how u feel!!!! If she's a true older sister she'll keep on bugging u but she'll understand and try 2 be nicer!!!!! U r sis seems like she just needs reminding!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Not all big sisters are control freaks Mines not. She probably still sees you as her little brother. and you will always be just that. Speak up and ask her why she does that, she might not know that shes doing it or it is a part of who she is. You will never know until you ask........

I almost love my older sis but its my younger sister I am worried about. She doesn't get it that when I yell at her, I yell at her for a reason. It makes me feel bad when she doesn't listen or says something horrible to me. I guess thats how siblings are... you hate them and DEEP inside you actually like them.

Phew, and i thought it was just mine, im the youngest of 5 and i still get treated like the "baby" despite being in my 30's!
Mind you as much as she pi$$e$ me off, i'd be lost without her, so i just grin and bear it and accept the fact that a leopard cant change it's spots!
