Your one of the Christian's within the particular majority you speak of; or- your one of the few non Christians that have bad grammar skills. Personally I believe it is a nondenominational trait.
"Why do so many Christians?" That is an incomplete thought or question.
"have bad grammar skills?" That lacks capitalization and is asking a question of "one" it does not refer to the plural "Christians". It is out of context.
Your grammar is an abomination of English language usage.
So, to answer your formation of questions; there are many Christians because the word has been preached and believed over most all the world.
To your second question; I try, but fall below standard in my own English language skills.

I'm not sure if their grammar skills are worse than those of the average english speaking person. I might even think that their grammar skills are better than those of the average muslim, who is usually from a foreign country.

This is a very interesting observation. I don't know, but if it so, it is a shame. We often do give the ideal that Christianity is for dummies by our poor grammar skills.

Being christian and having poor grammar has nothing to do with each other.

Why must people be so bigoted? Bad spelling is not a Christian thing. It's a lame people thing. If they were REAL Christians they'd have some Holy Spirit action going on and they'd KICK SPELLING BOOTY!!!

It's not restricted to Christians. It's PEOPLE. I blame public education. It drives me nuts. "Your" instead of "you're," "there" instead of "their"... I HATE that stuff!
I guess I'm a bit elitist when it comes to stuff like that.
