Well buddy, the former is a comedy while the latter is a romantic love story so take your pick!
What does your date prefer, if anything?
Personally, I would go for Music & Lyrics because that sounds like a chick flick (more to my taste).
Norbit (Eddie Murphy right?) is a total farce and something that would appeal more to boys, don`t you agree?

Norbit without a doubt. You can laugh and be yourself and the message in the movie won't imply anything uncomfortable.

Music and Lyrics deff!! Well they are both good movies and funny but if you wanna nice 1st date, go for music and lyrics.
