i noticed that for the last 4 days i noticed that she has been licking herself (vigina) often day and overnight. until yesterday i noticed when i took her out for usual walk a greenish/yellow thick mucos came out of her vigina (looks like flem), and again she has more of that some come out today again during the walk today. she isnt neutered and last time she had her period was in january. she is acting normal, very playful, eating normal, drinking water normal, nothing different from usual. can someone help me i am going to send her to vet next week but would like to know if anyone who has a female dog ever had this and what this is and what caused it and is it something seriuos.

It sounds like a yeast infection...Off to the vet you go!

I would try to get her into the vet Saturday if you can. Could just be a yeast infection but since she is intact (not spayed) and is also at the time in her cycle when she would have pups or been pregnant (if she isn't), it could also be pyometra which is a very dangerous infection of the uterus. Since she is having discharge it might be the type that can be treated if caught soon enough but otherwise might have to have surgery and be spayed. Good luck!

I have never heard of this...ever.
I think you may want to call the vet a bit early and let them know just what it is if you haven't yet.

the ONLY thing I can think to say is that it might be puss and not mucos? like she has a cut or something else inside her. that might help with the licking...
sorry. I would take her in- and that;s what your doing so- great!

Could be a mild yeast type infection, or something more serious, like pyometriosis. Only a vet can tell you for sure.

Dogs (male and female) can get Urinary Tract infections just as people can. Take in a urine sample to your Vet for testing and if that's what it is they can dispense some antibiotics. If the urine is normal then they will want to see her.

Yup! I agree with the others that say it is a yeast infection. See you vet for antibiotics and good luck! I have a pug, too! Aren't they the greatest?!?

She may have an infection, I would call your vet at the first chance you get and take her in.
Second though...Could she be pregnant?
Take her to the vet to be safe. You wouldn't want something to happen to her by not going.

I am not a vet, but I have heard that unspayed dogs can get an infection in there uterus, I think it is called pyometra, and it can be extremely serious! I would take her in as soon as you can. Please read the information in this link!!
