ok heres the senario in simple terms:
guy...say, joe, asked me out to a dance a few years ago. i said no, a bit rudely. joe is mad and sad, but moves on. last year he asked another girl to dance (just once), she said yes. he is single currently. he is in 2 of my classes. he seems to have moved on from me, but every once in a while, he looks at me. i think i've flipped. like ...i like him now. anyways, the sadie hawkins dance is in a week. should i ask him? would it be too incredible ironic and hurtful to him for me to even halfway expect for him to say yes? not that it makes a difference, but joe's indian, and im white. i have no idea how i would even go about asking him (the first time, joe asked me with a note, so would it be bad for *me* to ask *him* with a note? if i did?? )
should i just forget him?

HELPPPP!!!!!!!!! ILY IF YOU ANSWER!!!!

Just ask him. If you don't, then you'll never know. If you want to give him a note instead of asking him in front of other people then do so. Yeah, the worst he can say is 'no', but like I said, if you don't ask, then you won't ever know or if you keep putting it off, someone else may ask him first. Good luck.

All that comes to my mind when you said Sadie Hawkins dance was... "Sadie Hawkins dance... in my khaki pants - oh oh oh!" ...just a lil ol' RelientK there...

ANYWAYS, if you like the guy, it honestly couldn't hurt to try. In fact, you may be more disappointed you didn't ask and didn't know what his reply would have been, than if you just get up and ask him and find out. Believe me, it sounds like you two have a past, however un-interactive it's been, and he's still around in class and such. You'll be seeing him. Might as well not add another loose end to things. Just be prepared for the worst, but hope for the best. I try to handle things that way... keeps you humble, honest and happy with yourself. Good luck! :)

Simple...well its up to you if you wanna ask him with a note but I really would just ask him in person. Just go up to him and ask him if he wants to go to the dance with you. If he says no its not the end of the world and he wont hate you for it. You will both move on. Just live a little. Trust me I've done it before.

Write him a note, and start it with an apology - that history between you two should to be cleared up before anything happens. Then just tell him how you feel.

Since he used to like you, I bet he still likes you now, even if he knew he couldn't have you. Race doesn't matter. So I say go for it!

Ask him to his face. He might appreciate that more than a note and take u more seriously... Ask yourself, whats the worst that could happen... -- He will say no....
Now ask yourself whats the best that will happennn --------..... .. . . . .??????? Fill in the blanks yourself....

P.S.. Men dont usually hold grudges or sour feelings like that....

Definitly go for it,,

After all,, Its only life

I think you should ask him, but not with a note. I think you should suck it in and just ask him.
