I know... :-(
From the natural, human viewpoint, it is very hard
to understand why anyone, once they have been presented with the TRUTH of God's love and grace, as demonstrated in the Person of His Son, would want to reject such mercy and follow satan -- whether they realize it as such or not -- but that is why God gives mankind free will to choose His mercy or to
remain in spiritual death and darkness, which is what came upon mankind at the Fall....
We can only keep praying, especially if we have loved ones and friends who need to know Jesus as Savior before they leave this world....and I definitely have loved ones, who are at this point, no more receptive to heaving about "RELIGION" than some of the people here on r/s,....But we can't give up on them, no matter how "hopeless' it might seem to us in the natural....
I just got done answering a question from someone who was so totally full of anger and hostility....and you have to wonder where THAT comes from.....Maybe they are not so sure as they like to tell themselves that they are.....
But we CAN'T give up because of what they think or say because there ARE those who DO want to hear and receive the GOOD NEWS of God's Son and here on Yahoo answers,
the non-believers who are so full of hatred and anger, which is REALLY from satan, of course, do NOT have any RIGHT to
FORBID us!! This is NOT their exclusive or private domain on
the internet even though some of them act like we are trying to
harass THEM on a personal level or whatever....and so if they
choose to reject the mercy of God, that is on them...and THEY
are the ones who will have to stand before God one day......
I know that not ALL nonbelievers are full of such antagonism towards God and towards Christians as some of the atheists that I have encountered thus far on Yahoo answers seem to be....but God will deal with them.....
Isaiah 54:17..... :-)
Heb. 9 -- IT IS APPOINTED UNTO MAN ONCE TO DIE AND AFTER THAT THE JUDGMENT.....

Because they are in their right mind...
There is absolutely no empirical evidence to support the existence of Jesus Christ. All of the writings about Christ were written at least 35 years after his supposed crucifixion, and are therefore considered hearsay. The scholar Josephus was sponsored by a bishop, who in his own writings, advocated lies and misinformation in order to keep the church in power. The gospels have been proven to have been written between 70 and 90 CE, which would put them after the deaths of the supposed authors.

Some of us have 'graduated' or moved on in our education levels and rather than 'reject Christ' we have been embarrassed by the fanaticism of fellow Christians and their belief in 'The Devil' & have come to love, respect and accept the plurality of our beautiful planet and fellow humans. We've just moved on.

Maybe because they did not recognize Him.
They may have had a preconceived expectation of how Christ might be, might have looked like, might have felt like, might behave like, might speak like.
It is all because we do not recognize Him as the disciples did not recognize their own master in the boat during the storm.
Do you recognize Him?

Why would anyone accept something from a fantasy book? Why would anyone murder, persecute and oppress people based superstition? Maybe they aren't rejecting a Christ fantasy. They're rejecting you, your silly fantasy beliefs and your oppression.

Because not everyone is a Christian, and not everyone, like me, believes in Christ.

Because they have been deceived, the False Christ has been hear and gone, Abraham knew him as so did Isaac, Jacob, David, Moses and all the prophets
Jesus told you about him and do not be deceived by him

Christ, as any legendary or fictional fantasy character, is irrelevant. You can reject it or ignore it or whatever.

I was Christian once. I found it to be a hypocritical religion that preached tolerance and love and practiced bigotry and intolerance. Plus, some of us have trouble believing that the universe is run by a "benevolent" and "loving" god that sends people to an eternity of pain and torture for failing to subscribe to the correct holy book. Hope that helps to answer your question.
