My chicken was sick for a few days and my husband and I did not know what was wrong with her she got worse and passed away any ideas?

If your chicken loved you too, and you never threatened her with turning her into soup, I think she will definately remember you and in a good way. i like to think that my pets will remember me. her spirit goes to a different heaven, but heaven all the same. i believe that all animals do. maybe you'll even see her again! i'm sorry for your loss. it's hard to lose a pet.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had pet chickens when I was young. I raised them since they were chicks and loved them dearly. They were very affectionate, and every night I would leave the door open so they could come inside and roost near me as I did my homework. I was terribly sad when I lost them, so I understand what you're going through. There are a lot of diseases and infections that chickens can get, so I don't know what it was. It sounds like it went pretty quickly, though, so at least it hopefully wasn't too bad for her. If you cared about your chicken and treated her well, which it sounds like you did, I'm sure she'll always love and remember you.

Be careful about asking such personal questions on a worldwide chat board. There are a lot of people who will type hurtful things just because they can.
Your chicken was a beloved pet. Treat it with all the respect and dignity that you feel is appropriate. I am very sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose a pet that you love.
The people who say that animals do not have souls have never had a special pet. You and I know that there is more to a pet than just a live body. Pets can sense our feelings, enhance our lives and comfort us when we need it. I believe. All you need to do is believe also. If someone tells you otherwise, ignore them.

Aww I'm sorry....When I was little I had two chickens as pets, that both "mysteriously" disappeared, and I was devastated. According to the bible, animals don't have souls, but I like to believe they go to a farm in the sky :).

You should have coated her with Shake n Bake and roasted her?
However, if she really was a BELOVED pet and you were really concerned for her health, than why didn't you take her to the vet?? I know if I was worried about one of my pets, that is the first thing I would do...Oh and by the way, I don't eat my pets...
