so theres this guy i really like. he lives in a different school district than me, so i dont see him on a regular basis. i talk to him almost everyday, though. i decided i really like him, and during the conversations we have, he is very suggestive to the fact that he likes me too. however, a few weeks ago he told me he likes a girl at his school, but now he only talks about her when i bring it up, asking how their friendship is progressing. see, my friends and i go out once a month with our boyfriends, to a movie or bowling or something, but at the moment im single. i really want to ask him to go with me and my friends and their dates, but im so afraid he'll say no. he has said before he would be my boyfriend if we didnt live in 2 seperate school districts, because he had an inter-district relationship before and it didnt work out. but i really want him to go with me, so should i ask him? we're both in high school if thats any help.

He seems to be pretty decisive about not wanting to enter into another inter-district relationship. You really don't have any other option but to accept how he feels. I know you don't like it and it is not what YOU want, but this is not about just you, but the BOTH of you. So you should probably just keep looking.

However, I also believe that there is nothing wrong with telling him how you feel and asking him out. So what if he says no? It would be a heck of a lot better than what you are doing now, which is fretting, worrying, and driving yourself up the wall. Rejection will be with you for the rest of your life so you might as well get used to it now. I promise it will not be the end of the world.

Well to put a smile on your face i would say "yes"....however, if you think about it he talks to you as a friend(tells me about how thier friendship is progressing)
(he told me he liked this girl at his school)
He is likely to know that you like him and this is the perfect way to MAKE YOU not increasingly fall for him, but for him to have you as a female friend that helps him out with the opposite sex.
Also the part were he said" i would have asked you out if we
werent leaving in the same school district is clearly "BULL".

IF A GUY LIKES A GIRL HE WOULD NOT CARE IF SHE LIVED IN TEXAS AND HE LIVED IN MARLAND....TRUST ME PEOPLE DATE THAT FAR.................and i tell you school district is nothing

i think so. i agree with the person above me. ask him first as a friend, and if it doesn't work out, son't ask again., if it does, ask again as a boyfriend
