You need to do more research.
1. all branch's of the military limit prior service enlistments.
Prior service enlistments use a Reenlistment slot, not an enlistment slot.
So your plan could backfire, because by the time you finished your first enlistment, the service you wanted to join for special forces, seals etc.......could NOT be accepting prior service enlistments.
2. While now the Navy has the Seal Challenge and the Army has the 18x program. Nothing says they will still have those programs 4 years from now.
3. Your best bet, is if you want to be a :
Navy Seal, join the Navy, your gonna have to go thru bud/s no matter what, so why waste 4 years in another service.
Army Special Forces..join the Army, go Airborne and try for the Rangers, then apply for SF, or enlist under the 18X program.
Marine Recon, you have no choice, you have to be a Marine first, they don't have an enlistment option to join, they select from inside the Marines.

Bro, there is very little branch-skipping in the military. Navy SEALs are NAVY. Now, once in SOCom, you may get tasked out to little jobs that have you teamed up with all sorts of people, including operators form other branches (task force that sorted Zarqawi, fer instance) and foreign militaries. I wouldn't stay fixated on the SEALs unless you just gotta go. Every branch has it's special operations sections, including the Air Force. The SEALs just currently have the best PR, which is not to say that they're overrated. BUD/S is a bastard, but a lot of Marines and Army infantry 'in theater' have as much trigger time and are as salty as SEALs. Certain units just have more money for good training.

I would suggest you go talk to a recruiter.
Who helps you the most in terms of training is a moot point if you don't qualify to serve in the specific MOS you want. I know joining to go into Marine Recon or Special Forces sounds like a grand idea - but only very few of the people who are chosen for those programs even make it through training.

It is called NAVY Seals, not Army Seals. You need to join the Navy, be aware that very few people get accepted and qualify for this program.

It is my understanding they take them from volunteers from all branches, especially special forces. So get in the milatary, like Army and join The Rangers or something. Then put in for Navy Seals.

Well they may, but the navy is pretty particular in that they want you to be in the navy to be a navy seal.
