I've been on it since 1991 and it has never made me feel that way. However, everyone is different and medications affect us differently because of that. For me it just makes me be able to reason better and not have so many lows.

I took Paxil, it's pretty much the same thing as Prozac, and I was on the less depressed and less anxious planet.
I heard some people talk about people on Prozac losing their personalities and stuff like that, but I've never seen any evidence that it was true.
If you're taking it and you feel "strange" in some way, I hope you tell your doctor. Some people have unusual reactions to medication.

i have been on prozac for years, and NO it doesnt make you feel weird, it just evens your mood out so that things don't get to you so badly! i am on 40 mg daily and w/out it, i am hateful and mean! especially that time of the month!
