Just curious but is this tall/average?

This a question merely asked out of curiosity but is a boy who is 12 1/2, is 5'7 tall? Is 5'3 at 13 at least average? (This is definately not for me, it's for my younger brother and for one of my friends) You just have to say yes or no for each question depending on your opinion.

Boys generally hit a major growth spurt a little later in puberty. However, there are early and late maturers. The twelve year old seems tall but he is likely an early maturer. The 13 year old just hasn't hit the growth phase yet. They will likely even out soon. Hope this helps.
