My dog accidently swallowed a WHOLE candle wax thing since it was his bday today and i gave him an edible dog cake. But the thing is, i forgot to take off the candle before giving him it, and he chewed and swallowed it up!! I was wondering if this is bad for him or not! Will this affect him at all?

It shouldn't hurt him but he might not like it when it comes back out the other end.

No, not unless is was scented or something. One of my dogs used to eat crayons, which are also made of wax, and he was fine. I just ended up finding poop all over the backyard with colorful flecks in it.

He should be okay. Watch for diarrhea, vomiting, lethergy, blood in the stool, constipation...

If he has any problems like this take him to see your vet for an ultrasound or x ray to check for a blockage.

I think the worse you will have is a tummy ache though

Probably wont hurt him but he may get the runs. Wax will most likely soften on it way out so you may see chunks of it around the yard!

Well,if you consider that dogs even eat poop, then I wouldn't really worry if he swallowed a piece of wax...I'm sure he's going to get rid of it soon! :-)
