I have known him a year. Carelessness or Intentional? Or something else. Do you say "I'll call you" just for effect? Need some honest answers.....

Honestly, It's probably intentional. He probably doesn't like something about you and doesn't want to call you back.
But I also know people who are just such scatter brains, that they don't remember what they've said.
So depending on the person, it could be either. I'm personally a very careful person, so if I say I'll call and don't, then it's because it was intentional.

Because usually we say we will call you at a bar when we are 3 sheets to the wind and quite frankly, you all look much better when we are 3 sheets to the wind. by the time the next day rolls around we we are too hung over to deal with you the next day and you are too ugly for us when we are sober. Hope this helps.

men have the attention span of like 5 mins depending on what they are doing. same with us chicks. I tell people that I'll call them and remember sometime the next day if not when I see them the next time.

Thats because the corporate culture has creeped into evryone. People dont stress on sticking to their commitments unless they think that its really important or it calls for attention...They dont value this quality anymore. They go by merit...Sorry for being blunt.. but, you can still come across people who will keep their words..

not a guy, but sometimes guys say that just so they feel better... they may not intend to call, but somehow saying "i'll call you" sounds and feels better than saying "goodbye forever."
