We work together. We start chatting via myspace and aim about 2 weeks ago. Went to coffee, dinner; she was sick two days ago and I came over with soup and cards to keep her company. While there all the sudden she was wearing an engagement ring. I ask if she's engaged and she says that no she isn't, she was, she is still close to her ex and he asked her to wear it, she told me she wasn't dating him or anything and didn't feel that way about him anymore.
So yesterday I ask her out on a date, she said she wanted to go out with me but she's in a complicated situation right now.
Should I pursue her? Should I just be a friend, or try and win her over?
I said let's give it some time and whatever happens will happen, she said that's great because she still wants to see me and get to know me better. Your input is appreciated.

While talking about the ring, she said she didn't even think she should be wearing it. I'm clueless as to this situation.

Don't pursue this. She's not ready to take that ring off and tell her ex goodbye forever.

That is a complex situation but it's like this if you really like her then let time tell what will happen, continue to go out with her and get to know her and if and you will eventually overshadow the ex but if you don't care that much be her friend still and date and she might come around. The ring is nothing more then her cling to him but like I said you should overshadow him soon.

Sit back and wait and see it sounds like she is unsure of the relationship she is in now and you should not interfere in that let her work it out herself.
