I'm doing Pilates at home and going to the gym to do the elliptical machine.
I need help coming up with a schedule. Should I do Pilates and cardio both in the same day? If so, how many days a week? Or should I do Pilates one day and cardio the next?

I've already asked this question and had a hard time getting the kind of answer I need. So here's what I'm looking for:
EX: Pilates and cardio Mon, Wed, Frid. OR
Pilates Mon, cardio Tues, Pilates Wed, cardio Thur, etc. OR
Anything else you think would be better...

Do Cardio every day (it's healthy, you can and should do it often.) Make sure you rest at least a day after doing Pilates or any kind of muscle building/resistance activity. What those are actually doing is tearing the muscle, and it is the rebuilding of the muscle fibers that burn fat and increase your metabolism. If you do muscle building/resistance activities two days in a row, you will be using muscles that are torn and you will be doing more harm than good.

Pilate's will be more effective if you do the cardio first, 20 minutes of cardio, and then 20 minutes of Pilate's.. but you only need to do this 3 times a week .also if you are going hiking or bicycling for more than an hour that will replace both for one day... .. .. .. :) .. .. .. .. .. hope this helps.

Five times each day. Each time you put down your rug and pray you should do Pilates and Cardio also.

I think you should do four days of the eliptical and two days of pilates and have one free day.

Mon - Cardio
Tue- Cardio
Wed- Pilates
Thur- Cardio
Fri- Pilates
Sat- Cardio
Sun- Free day

Based on the info you provided, 3 times a week would be enough! But make sure to rest a day in between.
